Challenges
Welcome to abundance, where we stop and think for a moment about the wonderful world in which we live. Today we are discussing challenges, #18 on my list of 1001 thanks.
It may seem strange to be thankful for challenges, but I have found the greater the challenge, the greater the reward. I have had many different kinds of challenges in my life, and I can honestly say each has been a blessing to me in one form or another.
You may be familiar with the principle of resistance, used in weight-training. Unless resistance meets effort, there is no growth, or the way I’ve seen it painted on a weight room wall, No Pain, No Gain.
You may also have heard this principle referred to as opposition in all things. I believe it is impossible to appreciate the good without enduring some of the difficulties, adversities, problems, or #18, challenges life may throw at us. I’m not saying we should chase trouble, but I have a feeling most of you have had your own fair share of challenges.
If you have a story to share of strength you have gained by enduring a challenge, post it today and tell us how adversity has made you the person you are today, especially if you have overcome your adversities and realized at the end of the process you have been strengthened. I know your stories of endurance will inspire someone else to try and endure their own difficulties.
We are, after all, in this world together to help each other along.
This blog is produced in conjunction with my weekly radio show, Abundance, which is broadcast on AM 630, KTKK. You can listen live 7 to 8 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on Sundays, about the same time I am making this post on Saturday night. If you have a story of diversity which has strengthened you, please call in and speak with me. You can listen live on the internet at www.k-talk.com.
