Tension
by Dane Allred

My teeth are clenched, my muscles tight
It’s clear that I’m uptight, all right.
Lookout when I’m in this tense mode
You never know what it might bode
My mind’s collapsing with this load
Since I’m so tense I might explode.

It’s called tension.
