Love’s Gentle Rain

The gentle rain of our love
Is no torrent to wash the earth bare
But it dots our lives with needed moisture
To see us through the glaring sun of life.
So light the gentle rain falls
We scarce can notice it.
Rather than annoy, it reminds us
With its soft caress of our true love.
When rain does fall into our life,
Let it always be
The gentle rain of love.
