Christmas Symbols

The wealth of holiday symbols
Bring Christ to mind to me:
The Christmas wreath; eternal love,
God’s love which sets me free.

The candy canes hung on the tree;
Of shepherds faith remind.
The star which pointed to his birth
Leads us though we be blind.

The red of Christmas; like his blood.
The white; of purity.
The tree of green; eternal life.
Ornaments; his glory.

The bells ring out to guide us back
To Heavenly Father’s side.
Christ’s present is salvation’s gift;
With us he will abide.
